Barbiecore

I recently saw a brand-new trend going on when I see people putting up their doll sets on ChatGPT.

I find it interesting to see what the dolls include in them. A table flip, basketball, or something that resonates with them.

And it was fascinating that I have to check it out myself.

The trend started from a TikTok user who used the #barbiecore from ChatGPT then posted on TikTok.
(see how things intertwine with each other?) and the post went viral. People are posting everywhere on Socials.

I saw this blow up when I was going on Facebook. Kids, remember Facebook?

Anyways, and one of the posts came to be a box, with a bunch of stuff. For example, Barbara Corcoran (one of the judges from Shark Tank) posted this on Instagram.

The box included; Crown, Keys, red lipstick, a shark toy, a hanging badge to put your phone in and money bags.

This was crazy. I could not believe how many people would post their own variations; basketball players, politicians, Real Housewives, and everyone alike.

If its something I can relate to regarding this; it'll be the ongoing trend of 'Barbiecore' and the interest from the movie in 2023.

When 'Barbie' came out, I remember it was everywhere. The stores were packed with Barbie Merchandise, on social media; brands were all dressed in pink, and even streaming their songs like: 'What Was I Made For?' by Billie Eilish and 'Dance The Night' by Dua Lipa.

Myself included, I watched it with friends, and alone for five times. Once was the first time alone watching it. It was really good! Loved the scenes, the music they used.

The Barbie Box I found at the Theatre below, and the dates on which I watched Barbie, lol.

July 21st - when I watched Barbie for the first time.

Sometime in July: I watched Barbie waiting for somebody at the theatre.

July 26th - I watched Barbie with my friend. We took several pics, but I like this one.

Sometime in July: I watched it once more with my friend and her sister
(because they promised me once they got back).

August 11th - a screenshot of the movie Barbie that me and my friend watched - again....

Sometime in 2024: I worked for a theatre that was playing Barbie.

But back to the #barbiecore trend, do you think its something that will last long, or will die down?
