About Lithophones, Great Stalactite Organs in Luray Caverns and Vietnamese Đàn đá Instruments.

While looking to my Instagram reels, I spotted this video on 'archaerohistories' and there was this pre-historic musical stone.  When I saw this video, it was really cool and kinda nice to hear. It cuts and drowns out the other noise and the noise is very similiar to xylophone.  Ringing Rocks Park in Pennslyvania It feels like a sound bath, but you aren't technically in a enclosed space and acts as a xylophone. I personally think its an underrated musical instrument that many don't have. Kids would especially appreciate the sound of the dings and dongs while they hit the sticks with rocks; for instance, I delved into my understanding of this wonderful instrument and noticed one place in Philadelphia called 'Ringing Rocks Park'. From a News segment, the reporter was explaining about this wonderful place and how it was built. Apparently, the rocks were in formation for about 200 million years into its prime. Once you bring your hammer, you can hit it with the rock...

Found Cafe & Vegemite vs. CHFA

There's this one coffee shop in Toronto I go to. They love promoting Australia into Canadian soil. Unfortunately, one of the most-beloved products are taken out because of the vitamin B levels.  One of the most beloved Australian products to hit shelves is pulling out from their coffee shop because of one product.  Vegemite.  Vegemite is an beloved product that Australians love. They put it on toast, pastries, in drinks, etc. And now, the coffee shop is furious that Canada Health and Food Agency is now asking for it to be pulled off their shelves and taken off their coffee menu. The reason why they are taking it out is because of high Vitamin B content and full of folic acids.  Found Coffee shop (which has multiple locations) in Toronto, ( pictured below) Trinity Bellwoods Park (near the famous Artscape Building), College & Spadina and Roncesvalles Village.  Courtesy of BlogTO Henceforth, I've been in the coffee shop several times and its been packed! I alwa...

Barbiecore

I recently saw a brand-new trend going on when I see people putting up their doll sets on ChatGPT.  The current Barbie Box trend on ChatGPT, courtesy from Republic World I find it interesting to see what the dolls include in them. A table flip, basketball, or something that resonates with them.  And it was fascinating that I have to check it out myself.  The trend started from a TikTok user who used the #barbiecore from ChatGPT then posted on TikTok.  (see how things intertwine with each other?) and the post went viral. People are posting everywhere on Socials.  I saw this blow up when I was going on Facebook. Kids, remember Facebook?  Anyways, and one of the posts came to be a box, with a bunch of stuff. For example, Barbara Corcoran (one of the judges from Shark Tank) posted this on Instagram.  The box included; Crown, Keys, red lipstick, a shark toy, a hanging badge to put your phone in and money bags.  This was crazy. I could not believ...

My Favourite Songs at the Moment: April 2025

Image
I love music! I wrote a couple of blogs about my favourite tunes to listen to, and I hope you like them! Drew Sidora: `I Did It To Me` (Full Album) I love the Real Housewives of Atlanta but I think there are so many people who don`t listen to enough R&B in their life and Drew Sidora is something you should check out. Her entire album is worth mentioning as she blends in all her R&B soul music into her songs, even better if you are in the midst of a breakup and need something to rage on.  The album is from her recent break-up with Ralph. Porsha Williams was frustrated about having her ex-husband Dennis working on the album and featuring him during Drew's creation on the album, but she needs to actually hear her out. It's that good.  It moves you, gets you in your soul and punches you hard to get over humps; like a bad relationship, or the feeling of letting go. My favourite from the album is 'Love 4 a min'. Heartbreaking, piano-ballad with warm vocals and nice ...

Come From Away

Image
Recently, I watched a wonderful musical all about the 9/11 attacks in 2001, and one town in Newfoundland, Canada took in around 6,000 travelers headed to USA in over 30 flights. Royal Alexandra Theatre, Toronto I remember wanting to go see it back in 2018 while I was in school studying health administration. I always wanted to go see however, I let my procrastination get to me, and was scared of going alone. So I missed out. Until the pandemic came, and all the theatres had shut down.  And in 2021, 'Come From Away' ceased production in Toronto due to low attendance ratings and the financial uncertainty.  However, that musical came back in full force. I guess it was because there was much likeable place for it. People actually related to the empathetic value of it and how it means to Canadians. It's shown all over the world including here in Canada. If you have not watched it, its worth watching. There was a lot of emotional stories from the travelers who went there and they...

Coordown Campaigns - "No Decision Without Us"

Image
I remember going on Instagram and looking at feeds. In it shows a girl who wears a yellow sweater, singing; 'I want to be where the decisions are made'. And from then on, I watched the whole thing. It was almost as if Lin Manuel-Miranda wrote and produced this piece of work. But as I kept watching, her parents were deciding what she should wear. Then it pans to other people who need special assistance based on what scenarios represents.  For a quick description, One cannot use their 'new' touch screens because they are cannot see and require a cane, one cannot hear the fire alarms because they cannot hear anything, one cannot reach the hospital supplies because the shelves are too high because they are short, and during a new presidential term, he is writing new laws, it shows a women who is amputated with her leg, and a person with down syndrome saying 'Give us a seat too!'.  It opened my eyes to see that some could be easy to implement,  its tougher for others...
