Ms. Diane Keaton

These past few days, I've been reflecting on the wonderful and talented Diane Keaton who sadly left us.

Here are some movies I suggest from Ms. Keaton herself in terms of what to watch to celebrate her legacy and her life.

'The First Wives Club' - 1996

The First Wives Club, also stars Bette Midler and Goldie Hawn, and its about three wives who reunite thirty years after - at a funeral where a middle aged divorcee plunges into her death.
During the meeting, they all discovered that their husbands are taking them for granted. So they decide to plot revenge and get them back.

This scene includes the infamous song, 'You Don't Own Me' where they all choreographed a scene in a venue with all the white draping's and it looked like it was not set up.

Here's the trailer below:

'Book Club' - 2018

Book Club stars do a meeting reading the infamous '50 Shades of Grey' book as part of their book club. So four friends; played by Diane (Diane Keaton), Vivian (Jane Fonda), Sharon (Candice Bergen) and Carol (Mary Steenburgen) navigate every day life, changing personal relationships including sparking new flames and revisiting old ex's.

There is a sequel to this; 'Book Club: The Next Chapter' where they take a girls' trip to Italy to discover an adventure the ladies never forget.

Trailer below:

'Something's Gotta Give' - 2003

From Google themselves: 'When aging womanizer Harry Sanborn (Jack Nicholson) and his young girlfriend, Marin (Amanda Peet), arrive at her family's beach house in the Hamptons, they find that her mother, dramatist Erica Barry (Diane Keaton), also plans to stay for the weekend. Erica is scandalized by the relationship and Harry's sexist ways. But when Harry has a heart attack, and a doctor (Keanu Reeves) prescribes bed rest at the Barry home, he finds himself falling for Erica -- who, for once, may be out of his league.'

Rest in peace Diane Keaton, you've been swell.
