BTS- (I know, I actually like this) It's a really catchy song, it's a very good rhythm and the best part of it all: It actually looks like a Justin Bieber dance scene. I also love their clothing, it looks very classy.
Gordon Downie- He is actually one of my favorites and to sing a song like this, it almost makes me croon. It's a really low music video because it talks about this boy Chanie Wenjack who left his Residential School in Kenora, Ontario. Residential schools originated a long time ago in Canada and it was to assimilate First Nations to become Europeans by learning their culture and if they don't, they are harassed. He has been through a lot this year with The Tragically Hip's last concert (my favorite band), his cancer discovery and now the Secret Path series. Wow. I love this man, he is very inspiring to all Canadians. You could help him by donating to his funds:
To fund Sunnybrook specifically the brain cancer research: https://donate.sunnybrook.ca/braincancerresearch
To donate to his fund for Indigenous People who were affected:

The next song that I like currently is Kim Wilde, some of you may have heard of her, hits like, 'You Came', 'You Keep Me Hangin' On' and of course, 'Kids In America'. She did a Christmas album in 2013 and my favorite track is called 'Hey, Mr. Snowman'. I love the acoustic vibe for Christmas and a joyful sound as well!
I gotta say, I was looking for songs and this would be my favorite. It's very uplifting and acoustic (at the same time!) The best part about him is that he's Canadian! He sounds amazing with that song! He also has that song called 'I Wanna Be Your Christmas' and it's really good! Check him out!
Can I just tell you that I'm feeling 'Good As Hell'? This song is from Lizzo and trust me, you'll want to hear this again, and again and again... one of my favorites. She does a conversation with Laura Miller called: "Talking In Circles" where they talk about feelings, motivation, emotions, social media, stuff like that. She's amazing and I love it how she's empowering average woman to become comfortable for who they are. A good song if you were cheated by your ex,
Let me know in the comments what song I should listen to and I'll give it a go!
As 2024 draws to a close, I want to wish everyone love this Holiday Season. This year, I had been hit with several rejections, failures, and breakable moments. Some of wish I'll share below. I remember coming into this year with hopefulness, glee and the excitement for whats to come. The place I'll go, the people I'll meet and other things that excite me. That wasn't the case this year. I took out a loan from a loaner company back in 2023, because I needed to pay off the expenses from that year; food, vacations, etc. I had this mindset of 'You only live once, live it while you're young'. That mentality cost me everything. I took out a personal loan thinking I'll pay it all back with the amount they'll give me. After looking at my bank accounts, I realized I needed to do something about it. Also, the anxiety of telling your parents and loved ones, confessing to this situation and releasing all the tension and scarcity is painful. Not realizing t...
Ella Clarens is a great friend of mine who we used to work at Nordstrom in 2021. Oddly enough, we met at different departments, she was working at a different department and I was working as a Holiday Village - creating custom-made Santa bags, selling ornaments, replenishing items, and don't get me started on how many gift wrappings we would need to do by December 24th. It was insane! I met her because when my department wasn't busy, I usually talk with her about life, work, and her passions. Picture from: Freddy from Ego Eros Studios Lately, I found out that she is also a musician who released a couple of songs, "ELLANATION", "BIRTHDAY PARTY", and in December 2021, "ICONIC". Nowadays, she writes her own newsletter which talks about her music, life and her past as a reporter for the Calgary Herald. Also, she spotlights on different people from around Toronto, showcasing talent and interviewing people. Sign up for her newsletter here: https://...
On May 3rd, I wanted to check out this wonderful (and free!) Museum with a coffee shop nearby, and you would not believe where the first Canadian Electric Streetcar took place in. Windsor, Ontario. Yes, Windsor, Ontario was the first-ever Electric streetcars that we 'in-use' in Canada. This was back in the mid-1800s, more specifically in 1886. First Electric Streetcar in Canada Once the city decided to refurbish the vintage streetcars that were used, they coated in fresh paint, updated signs; hanging billboards that were used back in the 60's, and all signs and keep maintenance at bay. They were focusing on making it, not only keeping it looking like a nostalgic piece of work, they tried to innovate the streetcar. They placed it on a track, with heavy equipment and careful delicacy to ensure the parts are kept in pace, they can reopen it in for all Windsorites (aka city of Windsor citizens) and the rest of the world to open. Me with the streetcar The background behind ...
