A cool website that takes you back in television time.
I was looking at Instagram, and a tech influencer, 'Matty McTech', and he pointed out this cool website that lets you watch television from the past.
This website, My Retro TV, lets you watch television shows from any decade.
Inside, you can find television shows from previous decades, including news coverage, music, soap operas, and comedy. All from those decades from the 1950s to the 2000s.
I remember watching the My 90s TV portion, and they were covering a lot of what happened during that decade.
Stories like the Michael Jordan infamous Basketball shoots from his time in the NBA, an advertisement on Janet Jackson's 'Design of the Decade' in 1995, scenes from the Ricki Lake Show, etc.
How this works is that all the lower sidebars have a particular year pertaining to a corresponding year. For instance, if you chose 1990, you would get 1990 content. If you chose 1996, you get 1996 content.
That's not all, there is a right sidebar that you can check off to find a particular show you want to watch. For instance, if you want to watch just talk shows, you can unclick on everything else, and depending on the year, you get all the scenes from just talk shows on your screen.
If you get lost, there is a remote control that you can choose to power off, changing the channel by clicking 'CH'. If you need to turn up the volume, you can do so with the volume button, 'VOL'.
If you are fond of donating money to help run this website, Joey Cato (the person who runs this website) has set up a 'Buy Me A Coffee' page to help keep this website running.
In the future, keep up to date with this blog, I'm going to set up an interview with him about his intentions about the reason why he spawned about creating this website.
For now, here is the link for you to check out.
