July (the month that changed me)
Normally, this would be an article about something else, but I thought I share some personal things throughout the month of July. I don't know if its going to be a common theme, but there are a few life events (from myself and others) that changed me.
I don't know how to begin with this blog post here but I wanted to share some moments that made my July!
1. I live in Toronto, and for Canada Day was sentimental for me. At that time, I saw that the US President wants to bring Canada down, by giving tariffs for Canadian Products and tarnishing our culture by calling us "the 51st state" to weaponizing words to us.
So in honour of Canada Day, I went to the Toronto's Lakeside. There were fireworks happening there. At that point, my friends decided to check it out and I thought I meet them. At that point, I could not see them, so I decided to wait near the CN Tower. To avoid the crowds and have a nice place to check it out.
It was funny because once I saw the fireworks, the guy near me played Christmas music, "I'll Be Home For Christmas" while he was buying light sticks and glow-up things.
The fireworks were a fantastic show! They put on all the colours, shapes and sizes, in a spectacular show to cap off being Canadian.
2. July 2nd was about all the exceptional volunteers for Luminato. I volunteered with them before, but this year, I took a lot of shifts. I did the 'Rainbow Dreams' which was really cool, the artist who comes from Japan, wanted to bring her version of relaxation, sound baths and the colour wheel to Toronto. I'd say that the events were a hit, a lot of people; especially the workers were using it to relax.
They hosted a summer volunteer party to commemorate all the volunteers who were at Luminato this year and everyone came! We had the CEO do a quick chat, some volunteers won some prizes, and food all over with delicious cake.

3. Then, my work friends and I went on an adventure to Niagara Falls, as part of Medina's trip. Medina runs this amazing tour company called 'Empire One Travel' which does all one-day tours and goes to several places; Peterborough, St. Jacob's Market, Muskoka (which I'm going to this month!) and of course, Niagara Falls.
This trip included several stops; including Cherry Picking, I remember we were picking cherries and it was a blazing hot day, I was at the store and saw two dogs were running around and playing.
We went to a Lavender Farm, NEOB (Niagara Essential Oils and Blends, I found out a while back) and my friends and I went along the wonderful fields. What was really funny the fact that I was there many years ago and took the photo of the owner, and still recognizing from the selfie was amazing.

We roamed around the fields, took photos of the wonderful fields and places. And they did a 'Friends' style picture. I also brought two plants home, along with a gift basket and Lavender Ice Cream. My friend said she liked it and so did I. It was not sweet but to a touch of lavender flavour. Very delicious and highly recommend.
After this, we went to a few more places including a Fish and Chips lunch, Floral Clock and the Falls... Afterwards, we went shopping at an outlet mall. Overall, it was fun experience.

Medina's Group 4. I checked this wonderful pop-up shop from Dr. Oetker promoting their brand-new pizzas. This delicious and affordable 'Suprema' pizza. They had a free Opera to celebrate their launch, and it was the same time that it took to cook the pizza in the oven. We were celebrating her birthday with BBQ, dancing and good times. I especially love their grilled chicken, it was delicious! Me and Megan at her birthday party! 6. I went to the Cheesecake Factory for the first time this month. Although really expensive, I liked the fish, it was fried with light batter and very delicious. Both my friends are there to have a great time. 7. Hailee is celebrating her 30th birthday!!! With her loved ones, her parents and her boyfriend, we celebrated in style. Unfortunately, it was raining at the time so we could not eat outside in Rendezviews, we managed to find this wonderful Thai restaurant called, 'The Phae Tavern'. They were serving up some delicious Thai dishes such as, Chicken Wings, Calamari, Fish Balls and Thai French Fries. I highly recommend going there, they also have an Happy Hour which food and drinks are cheap. Hailee's sister also made a cake in honour of her birthday, which was nice. A bunch of food: (Left) Moo Peng (Grilled Pork Skewers), Tom Yum Fries, (top left) Chicken Wings (original plain), Deep fried Fish Balls with Sweet and Sour Sauce.
