26th Birthday Party

I thought I change the blog post up a bit and talk to you about my 26th birthday party!

The point of having and hosting a birthday party was to celebrate a monumental stage in my life. A quarter and a bit done.

I remember thinking about doing this party and it was because I wanted to. It wasn't something that was to mark some special occasion or an excuse, but to throw a party with loved ones.

It took me back to the time when an relative of mine was hosting a party. It was hard to get the guests together, keep them entertained and fed and leave being happy, taking home memories.

They were stressed out, and needed lots of help during the seating arrangements, what food they should eat, and the food allergies. The entertainment; karaoke, lion dancing, pin the tail, etc. Setting up was hard.

When it came down to the invited guests, I try to keep it between 20 - 30 people max, because I'm afraid if they might shut it down, or others might get claustrophobic from the amount of people in the venue. Even myself, I do get scared about the room filling up.

We got the venue in place, and I decided it would be nice to have a photo booth, so they can take those memories back home. So I did. I looked around for a good photo booth venue rental on Google, and found 'Bark'. Bark was a great website that found me 'Photo booth by Zee'. Zee was patient, kind and really helpful in terms of making sure my guests feel happy and part of the team.

People were taking advantage of the photo booth as well! We took lots of photos, wore funny hats, and silly faces. It was a lot of fun to have!

Karaoke was something I liked as well, and to be hosting Karaoke in this bar is really cool. A lot of people were on board with this and we collectively decided that it would be wonderful to have. People were singing songs like; 'Tik Tok' by Kesha, 'Bad Romance' by Lady Gaga, to seductive songs like 'WAP' and 'Anaconda'.

We were dancing along to the wonderful tunes, people were enjoying themselves and not taking themselves too seriously. Even people who were introverted, also came out of their shell to sign, oh boy, it felt like a hot sauna!

Overall, I learned a lot from party planning. It takes a lot from your soul. Making sure everyone is taking care, entertained, and leaving the party feeling like they have memories to cherish forever.

This is the video that made me cry. Hailee was saying if we have not sang 'Happy Birthday' yet, and people were cheering me on!! Love the enthusiasm!
