4 Nations Hockey Game/2011 Riots in Vancouver

Image
This weekend and all throughout this week, there's a huge hockey game with four nations (Canada, USA, Finland and Sweden) all taking part to play for the top title.  One of the current topics on this is the ongoing tensions between Canada and the US in a political landscape which is tariffs from President Donald Trump.  I will not get into it politically because I don't want the theme to be a dividing and I wanted a space where everyone can share their opinions.  Will say that I'm quite afraid about if a riot would be forming if either team loses, since there's pride in either hockey teams.  I remember watching a documentary on the 2011 riots in Vancouver between Canucks and Bruins. The 'I'm Just Here For The Riot' documentary, directed by Asia Youngman and Kathleen Jayme based on the 2011 Stanley Cup riots, features actual footage from peoples cameras and phones. You could see how bad the condition was, the anger on peoples faces, ripping out windows, etc...

Super Bowl Halftime Shows - Spoilers!

Image
Super Bowl Halftime Shows  are one of my favorite things I look forward to every year. There are so many ways artists or theatre companies always bring it with theatrical moments, fireworks, dancing, cultural memes and sing-alongs from the fans.  1. Prince - 2007 Even before the show started, it was crazy in Prince style. He came out in a red blazer and his dancers, started to perform his songs on his electric guitar. Imagine if it was outside the stadium, I would think there's technographic and fireworks. He did not even answer any of the reporters questions. That is badass.  During this show, it was raining. When I looked at when he came in, my eyes were emblazoned with excitement that a legend would come out to perform. There were dancers in white and two in the front dressed in black dresses.  The stage is under his logo, the marching band dressed in brightly coloured clothing, and the covers he did, Bob Dylan, Foo Fighters, and Creedence Clearwater Revival was f...

Field of Dreams - The Movie/the 1919 World Series Controversy

Image
Last year, I watched a movie called `Field of Dreams`. That started my research into the 1919 Black Sox Scandal, and to delve into the movie itself. It`s a great movie to watch.  When I saw that there`s a free screen filming for `Field of Dreams`, I thought it was yet another sports film highlighting the best baseball players and their stats in the MLB (Major League Baseball).  It turns out, its not that at all. It`s about Ray (Kevin Costner) who had a dream of doing something extravagant. Ray is a huge baseball fan who loves anything to do with MLB.  Walking in the cornfield he keeps hearing: `If you build it, he will come.` Ray is convinced and wants to build a field. His wife, Annie (played by Amy Madigan) thinks he's crazy for building something so big.  For some reason, these ghosts suddenly appear to play ball, including "Shoeless" Joe Jackson. This player is famous for the 1919 Black Sox Scandal where they were accused of game-fixing gambling, possibly linked ...

I wanted to learn more about her latest project. I spoke to her about her latest project, talked about her new business, her beginnings and how she was passionate about dogs and families.
